Buying Birthday Present

I have always have the difficulty in buying birthday present for people.

The usual issue are
1) The desired present of the birthday boy/girl are always too expensive for the giver.
2) In giving a cheaper gift, the birthday boy/girl most likely would have bought it already if he/she like it. (especially ornament type)
3) Giving cash, Red packet, Voucher.... That is just a lazy method, and completely show no desire to please the birthday boy/girl.
4) Giving a self-made item will please the birthday boy/girl for a while, but if it is a useless stuff, it still doesn't make the cut.

However if you are not concern about the feeling, or very rich, or simply too lazy; then it shouldn't bother you at all.

Well, I guess the best present is something that the birthday boy/girl wants to buy, but feel it is too expensive. However still within your budget.

For eg.

It may be a nice cup that cost $30. It is really quite expensive buying a cup for that price, so the birthday boy/girl didn't buy it. However it is still affordable and good price for a birthday present.

Having said that, it still takes some effort to notice what the birthday boy/girl likes.
