I wanna do Paragliding, it seem so fun.

"Paragliding is the fastest growing aviation sport in the world. Being able to fly hundreds of kilometers using equipment carried in a Back pack is very appealing. Some people mistake Paragliding for a parasail’s or parachutes. But when up close they see the real difference. Paragliding is the simplest form of flying and a natural way to get high."

I was quite surprise at how fast they can process my passport, I submitted the application through internet on last fri(29/12) night on the year 2006. The following mon and tues were both holiday. On thurs I receive an email stating that my photo submitted was rejected because it cannot pass the standard.

So I went down on fri(5/1). There is not much of any queue, the only wait was the processing time of the putting the new photo of 1 hour.

I applaud the speed of ICA.

Parking coupons


Do you think it will be great to have a online or telephone system to increase our parking time in HDB/URA car park?

Sometimes it is not that car owners does not want to put more coupons, but that we really do not know how long we are going to stay. If we put 3 hours coupons, but ended up we leave the place in 1 hour, then we will "lugi", right?

But if we just put 1 hour parking coupon, then if we have to stay longer, we just go online or telephone and key down our car license plate number and also the timing we wanna extend our parking. That will be great.

Then if the car really gotten a ticket, they can just check with the computer system to see what time we extend the parking. As the computer system can log down whatever time we call or made the online request.

I do not think it's a difficult thing to do, but more so if the authority want to benefit the car owners, and also if they are willing to fork out the initial sum for implementation, and last of all if they were to lose a large amount of income if they cannot collect as much fine.
