Wui-Ping Blog: 09/01/2003

This is the first time I attending a zone combine meeting with a full band... cannot remember any else in all my years in CHC. And I am priviledge to be ask to be the bassist. There is plenty of guitarist in the zone, but no bassist and drummer. (ended up T-loan Titus to play drum for us....and he is such a good drummer)

Though not primarily a bass player, but I had play bass in my old church before, also attended a 3 hours bass seminar before. Nevertheless I am a very beginner bassist. Borrow a 5 string bass from Rayson. Keep forgetting the top string is a B string, on a guitar, it's always a E string.

Really hope a drummer and a bassist can raise up in the zone, it will be so fun to have that. Then maybe I can play the guitar instead. But praise God, everything go quite smoothly despite the usual unexpected problem of keyboard and acoustic suddenly no sound, play the wrong chord, see the wrong hand sign, play the wrong key... haha... all is well.

I realize I really like to watch movie. What did I see recently?

well.... I like Turn left, turn right... Chen Zicai very funny, but the ending too predictable... Pirates.. not bad, english shows got better effects. Down with love... really funny, got a twist to the show too, nice ending. Good Romantic comedy. Medallion.... a disappointment with Jacky Chan, I always don't like the film he do in Hollywood.... prefer his old movies.

Been in Malacca for the last 3 days. Mon-wed. Then now I open G4C to read the new post. I'm overwhelm, just 3 days not seen, spent around 3 hours reading through everything. Very scary. Hey, also got a few new people chatting in the forum. Way to go, getting more insteresting.

Sat got zone outing, but unable to find anyone to replace me to play guitar for children church service. how? Any volunteers?

After seeing the specialist 2 days ago. Seem like my neck acne condition is much better. only cost $35, cheaper than some time when I go to the GP. Priase the Lord.

Today done a new "recommended guitar list" for the guitar ministry. Feeling the excitement of starting guitar teaching again.... But the Harvest 401 is sold out and will not be brought in, hmm.... that's the best acoustic guitar I saw under S$150, difficult to find another decent one. Thank God, Luther still willing to bring in if we pre-order from them.
